Overview: Believe or not?

In this blog, we have discussed  current scientific theory attributed to the creation of the universe and life itself. Upon weighing the evidence there are two choices one must make: either the universe has a intelligent design or mindless, random interactions over billions of years created this extremely complex universe.

It is important in considering intelligent design, to put aside any visions you have of god as an old man with a beard, also forget about organised religions. This is purely a philosophical and scientific analysis. I am not going to discuss the science in detail now , that is there for you to read in the archives of this blog.

There are tremendous gaps in our understanding of nature. Einstein attempted to find a unifying theory that would explain the difference in the laws of physics between the macro, the universe we see and touch, and the micro, the inner nuclear world of the atom, which do not obey Newtonian physics, although the macro is made of the micro.

There are also flaws in Darwin's theory on evolution. Yes, there is evidence of evolution and change within a species but hardly any between species. Why is that? If it was a slow and gradual change , there should be ample fossil evidence between species, but there is not. In fact, the evidence shows great sudden leaps in evolution which would indicate some kind of intervention.

Why is considering some kind of intelligent design in nature, not science? Is it hostility toward organised religions? There are many theories that try to explain the mysterious of nature such as: multiple universes and string theory but there is no more evidence of these theories as there is of intelligent design.

As we are conscious of ourselves, could not consciousness be attributed to the universe itself? Is the universe conscious of itself? What is the purpose of the beautiful splendor of the universe and all it's galaxies and stars without conscious beings to witness it?

If there is no design and no conscious design behind it all, then we are doomed. The earth is going to be burned to a crisp one day when the sun runs out of fuel and blows up.If we exist because of a lot of lucky breaks, our luck will run out.

But on the other hand, if we are part of a great design, then the earth is just the womb where life can develop and then populate the universe.Science has recently determined that H2O, water, is abundant throughout the universe. There is infinite supply of energy and everything that is needed to sustain life out there in the cosmos. But to achieve this calls for long range planning beyond the normal lifespan.

If you are the kind of person that is only concerned with what affects you right now and have no care what happens to the world when you are dead, then atheism will comfort you.

However, if you are concerned about your children's and their future children's welfare then it is natural for you to seek a meaning for life.

Breaking News:Dark Matter mystery deepens

Scientist studying what they call Dark Matter, that mysterious force that holds the galaxies together, are bewildered because experiments have shown that Dark Matter does not conform to what computer models says it should.

I have written about Dark Matter in this blog before where I have suggested that Dark Matter is not matter at all but a mass less force like gravity.

Dark Matter,Dark Energy and Gravity

Without the force called Dark Matter the galaxies would fly apart because normal gravity cannot hold them together. But what if Dark Matter is a force like gravity working at variable intensities to enable the universe to exist. It would suggest intelligence that would control the intensity of these forces.

EVOLUTION Part 1

           We have come a long way together, billions of years, from the birth of the Universe  to the origin of life.We have looked at light,gravity,dark matter and dark energy.We have examined the formation of the stars and the elements we are all made. We have accumulated evidence against atheistic scientific theory and towards Intelligent Design.
            Next, we will examine, in detail ,the foundation of atheistic belief, EVOLUTION.

            Evolution is defined as the change in the inherited traits of a population of organisms through successive generations. According to current scientific theory  there are three mechanisms that push evolution forward.
            NATURAL SELECTION: By chance, one organism has an advantage for survival over the rest of the population and so has a reproductive advantage over slower runners, thereby passing this advantage on to it's offspring. For Example: a rabbit that is a bit faster than other rabbits and has a better chance of not being eaten by a predator and so will have a chance to mate and pass that speed on to it's offspring.
            There is artificial selection as when a farmer mates plants and animals to produce desirable traits the farmer wants.
            Natural selection is consistent with Intelligent Design as once the process is established, it sustains itself as with the farmer.
            GENETIC DRIFT: is the gradual change in a population due to random events.
For example:75% of a population has the A gene and 25% have the B gene.If the organisms with the B gene do not have offspring,the B gene is wiped out. If only 1/3 of A have offspring but all of B than the A and B gene would be equal in the population.
             You can have endless combinations that will eventually lead to change in the population.This is very mathematical and is also consistent with Intelligent Design.
            MUTATION: We have gone over this in the last couple of chapters but to summarize,Mutation is the main source of change. This to me is another SMOKING GUN and proof of Intelligent Design.
             As we have covered, mutations are the result of mistakes in the DNA sequence. BUT , the odds for random mistakes to eventually lead to intelligence would be like winning the lottery every day.
             The bible of atheistic evolution is Darwin's "Origin of  Species" . We will examine the flaws in this theory. We will examine why, with at least 100 million fossils that are catalogued and identified in the world's museums, the fossil record does not support Darwin's premise.

A Star is Born!

            We have explored what is known about the "Big Bang" , which is the current scientific theory for the beginning of the Universe and the immediate few seconds after.We have examined gravity and light, which I submit is further evidence of design.
             Our next examination will be the beginning of the stars,galaxies and the basic elements.
              After the "Big Bang" the Universe was homogeneous, as the particles formed from the Bang flew out symmetrically away from each other.Now ,before I go on, let it be clear,if the sub-atomic particles continued this way the Universe would have evaporated.But  a lucky event happened or maybe intervention. Scientific observations reveal that tiny clumps of matter began to form in the early Universe. Scientist have concluded that these tiny clumps of matter started to be attracted together due to temperature differences of less than one millionth of a degree.This caused density variations, which are the seeds of all structure in the Universe, to enable our friend gravity to take over and attract gas and dust.
              In about 200 million years, there was enough matter to clump together that the temperature grew hot enough for fusion to begin and the first stars began to glow and the first element to form ,hydrogen.
              Where did that slight change in temperature,in the early Universe,originate?There is no answer to that, it just happened. Without that slight change of temperature of 1 millionth of a degree, the galaxies,stars, the earth and us would not exist.
               Chaos or design, you decide.

Gravity,Dark Matter and Dark Energy

            We have covered the common but mysterious force, gravity.There are two more mysterious forces related to gravity.Scientist believe they exist, even though they can't be seen or detected, because of their effect on galaxies and the universe as a whole.
            Dark Matter: Recent observations by scientists has led them to believe there must be way more mass or matter in the galaxies because the known mass that we can see and detect,does not account for the rotational speed of the galaxies or their velocity in clusters.
             In other words, all the matter that can be seen or detected is not enough to keep the galaxies from flying apart.Something else is holding the galaxies together.Scientists are baffled by this phenomena. So they have concluded that there must be something else, that can't be seen and gives off no radiation.. They have concluded that this mysterious dark matter exists because of the gravitational pull it exerts on normal stars and galaxies.They have given this invisible and undetectable force a name: Dark Matter.
            Dark Energy:When studying the universe over the last fifty tears, scientist have concluded that the universe is not only still expanding, but the expansion is accelerating.Nothing that is known accounts for this, as there is nothing but empty space between the galaxies.What is causing this repulsive force that is forcing the outer galaxies of the universe to rush away from each other.Scientist have no idea but have given this force a name: Dark Energy.
            Scientist have separated these forces that react with matter,gravity,dark matter and dark energy. Why are they separated?All three interact with matter but in different ways.What if  they are the same force?What if gravity can change it's strength according to the task it wants to accomplish.  Think of an engine in a car.It powers the wheels, the air conditioner and it generatesw it's own power. Three seperate tasks performed by a single entity.I know, this goes against Einstein's theory of relativity. But maybe gravity is more complex than first thought.
           So, what can we conclude from this?Strange forces ,that cannot be seen or detected with our most advanced  scientific instruments, determines the shape,size and the very existence of the universe we inhabit.
            More evidence that these forces are controlled by a higher intelligence. If it was just random, why does it work perfectly?
             What if dark matter interacted with the earth? We would be crushed. What if dark energy interacted with the earth? We would be torn apart.
            This is further evidence that the universe is not ruled by chaos but by intelligent design. How can it be , that these undetectable , mysterious forces which  work with such precision exist for our benefit by a lucky chance?
             Think about it, these forces have a purpose.
